Writing the Right RFP Document.
A well written RFP or Request for Proposal document is the first step for a staffing company to win a bid and increase their client base. This is a difficult and stressful document to write and most companies just try to create a document they hope will be considered by a client. From an employer perspective evaluating hundreds of RFP submissions, here is a list of important criteria information staffing companies may want to include in their document prior to submission.
Minimum Criteria:
- Does your company have a full time in-house Account Manager to address concerns or requirements?
- How long in business?
- Have access to a number of consultants capable of performing a variety of roles?
- Have Comprehensive General Liability insurance coverage?
- Currently have ongoing contracts with a variety of clients? List clients?
General Criteria:
Company Profile
- Company background and profile including:
-Head Office contact information.
-Number of years as a staffing company.
-Number of office staff, to date
-Contracts to date
Reputation & Experience
- Three (3) references for projects or companies similar nature.
- Brief description of experience in providing Consulting Services to organizations including start date and duration of services?
- Experience as a shortlisted or preferred provider of consulting services for a large organization. (e.g. similar business or similar size and technology)
- Overall number of resources/consultants who are currently working (all positions)
Competitive Advantage
- What are your strengths and weaknesses compared to the competition?
- What is your strategy for positioning against the competition?
- Why select you instead of the competition?
- What are your other win strategies?
Cost / Pricing:
- Cost estimates by position / experience level
Value Added Services:
- Process used to train and retain resources?
- Average time it takes to provide resources?
- Screening process used to ensure only qualified resources are selected?
- Quality assurance to ensure that consultants perform well in their role and are a good fit?
- Other value added components?
